The result was redirect to List of players who appeared in only one game in the NFL (1920–1929)#1923. Please though, use civil language in AFD discussion despite any frustration you may be feeling. Saying "put up or shut up" has a chilling effect on a discussion. Editors should feel free express a different point of view on an AFD outcome than the majority of participants. Liz Read! Fails WP:GNG and prong 5 of WP:SPORTBASIC. Article has for 11 years remained as a sub-stub unsupported by any SIGCOV, and my searches failed to find any. (I tried redirecting to List of players who appeared in only one game in the NFL (1920–1929)#1923, but the redirect was reverted by User:BeanieFan11. A redirect remains a reasonable alternative to deletion IMO.) Cbl62 (talk) 01:58, 21 November 2022 (UTC)
- Redirect per nom. We've gone over this extensively for over a year now; SIGCOV is required for sports articles, and simple participation has been deprecated. If User:BeanieFan11 is unprepared to do the work to properly source the articles, he does not now get to unilaterally decide to defy consensus-based notability standards. Either put up or shut up. - Redirect per Cbl62. If any SIGCOV can be found, please ping me, but for now, I think this redirect should be restored. SPF121188 (talk this way) (my edits) 20:59, 22 November 2022 (UTC)
- I think its likely that he has coverage in The Badgers: Milwaukee's NFL Entry of 1922-1926. BeanieFan11 (talk) 21:33, 22 November 2022 (UTC)
- For an article that's been a sub-stub for over a decade, speculation is nowhere near good enough. Either produce solid, multiple reliable sources providing significant coverage to the subject -- as the GNG requires -- or not, but if you don't know for a certain fact that this coverage exists, it's long since past the time that we're willing to accept wishful thinking. - Redirect per nom with no prejudice against re-creating if significant coverage is found and added. –dlthewave ☎ 04:36, 23 November 2022 (UTC)
